About Me
I’ve been working with words for more than 25 years. I started in the lightning-paced business of newspaper journalism as a sub-editor and travel feature writer. Back then, with the presses running, editors ranted and raved if column inches weren’t filled, and you missed a deadline at your peril.
That’s probably why I became known as a ‘copywriting machine’ who hit every deadline once I left the world of journalism and became a copywriter for a holiday company. Deadlines were still in place in this busy marketing environment, and as Head of Copy I prided myself on always meeting them.
Getting things just right is always my goal. As a freelance copywriter/editor/proofreader working for your business, that’s just what I’ll aim to do.
I will work with you to get to the heart of the subject. I will then present you to your target audience in a way that makes them realise they simply cannot live without you, your product, or your service.
My research will help me to get under the skin of your brand and put myself in the shoes of your customers. My copy will be clear and concise, free of superfluous jargon and, when suitable, injected with a sense of fun.
